The UAE is one of the countries has traditionally high remittance rate in the world. The vast majority workforce in its economy from the overseas send money back their home every year billion of the dollar. The remittance has exceeded more than dhs80bn (21.78bn) dollar so far this year.
The Central Bank of the UAE released statistics about the expat’s remittance data in the first half of 2019. The data also disclosed what nationalities send how much money to their home countries.
Although the UAE banks are actively evolving remittance services, the workers still choose the remittance companies to transfer fund from the United Arab Emirates to the home country. According to the new statistic, nearly 41 percent remit transaction were done via the money exchanges and others were sent by banks.
